So I’m heading for a tournament in a few months. It’s a pretty chill tournament that encourages conversions and interesting list ideas. I was thinking I’d bring an inquisitor and his retinue. My idea is to have guardsmen in the form of necromunda gangs, then have a bunch of temptestus drop in. The story being that the inquisitor has rallied a bunch of warring gangs for his cause and calling in the storm troopers to finish the job. Anyway to the issue. I just don’t see how to include the acolytes into the list. The inquisitor is easy enough but the acolytes require a separate detachment. Which is 2 command points at the least for a very mediocre unit. So any ideas on how to do this? I might do it to make the list all fluffy and nice but 2cp is a pretty steep price to pay. Anyone got a better idea on how to include acolytes into a list?

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

The way I do it is I use an Astra Militarum army. The Inquisitor can be added at no CP cost. The Infantry squads count as Acolytes, and I can use Scions too.

Thank you very much. I just found the rule. I've been using white dwarf issue Volume 3 Number 39. It's the same rule but instead of agent of the imperium it has inquisitor. So with 2 detatchments I can bring 2 agents of the Imperium without breaking faction specific rules. Meaning one inquisitor and one squad of acolytes. I suppose I can't bring an assasin if that's the case uless I use the executioner force rule. That seems to still inculde the cost for a vanguard detatchment though, which would be 3 CP. Or can this be circumvented by that stratgem that lets you include an assasin for 1 CP?
