With the new points released we see a bunch of removed upgrades costs. Seems a little akward to be honest. This trend of only paying for a models base cost and then chosing upgrades freely... yay or nay? It’s far to early to declare points cost redundant in favor of PL. it’s a recurring trend however.

I hate this. Cause competitive players will only ever take the best options.

Guard as an example, why take anything other than plasma?

This was the intention with 8th edition (which GW chickened out off after the AOS launch was such a disaster).
