I posted this in the painting forum but I figured it might be better to post it here instead:

I wanna make a grot army (orks) and I wanna use lots of Gloomspite models because I love them. Do you think it would be considered ok to use Rockgut troggoths or Mollog models as warboss in mega armor or big mek in mega armor? Explaining the armor by the size, stony skin and regeneration instead? Would it be confusing?

Would converted dankhold troggoths be accepted as deff dreads?

For regular orks I will perhaps use kruleboyz with converted heads, or hobgrots, or a mix.

As long as dementions are close and load outs are easily defined I would have no issues with it. If you play against some peeps regularly ask them. Maybe add some metal to the trogoth to you know 40k it.

Are you intending to convert, well then go ahead, afterall using plasticard to armor up an troll lead by a singular grot on his shoulder dangling a mushroom infront of the troll to get him to move forward would make more than an awesome warboss

Yeah I will convert it to fit 40k. I dont wanna add much metal but if its gonna be mega armor maybe I should add some plates.
