Hi guys,

This is my fifth paint job but the first I'm satisfied enough to share.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/195811578@N08/albums/72177720299435956/with/52140491566/

The clothes and shield are still a bit glossy, I probably didn't shake the wash enough. I toned the shine a bit with some matt medium.

And I haven't tried basing yet.

Any question and feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Looking good! I'm curious about the basing. Are you leaning towards the typical dirt & turf? Or will you go more for a more subterranean angle?

Also, are you keeping the square bases for potential KOW crossover or the long delayed Warhammer Old World?

Keep up the good work.

I have no plans yet for the theme of the bases, I only paint for now, not play and I focus on the minis themselves (for now).

The square bases is simply because I bought a second-hand collection and that's the bases they have.

No judgement; I was just curious.

I used to do the same and eventually got into Warhammer Fantasy. I played for several editions before End Times nuked everything. In the intervening years, I re-mounted all my fantasy models (Warhammer or otherwise) on custom round bases. It's a decision I've never regretted.
