As a Dark Angels player I normally just go with the Deathwing Knights but I must as which are better?

Both of them have their ups and downs but chatting with a buddy and we were both struggling on this topic. The knights would perform better in melee since they hit on 2+ and dish out more damage but the veterans have more attacks and are able to do range combat.

What do you think?

PS: First post since 2014 lol

Depends a bit on what exactly you are planning on doing with them and what you are dealing with.

I use both, but I find that the Deathwing Knights are my hammer and I usually try to find a way to fit them in my lists. The shooting of Bladeguard Veterans isn't all that wonderful. The BGVs can be taken in smaller units, though, so when points are really tight they can fill a niche.

But most times I take the Deathwing Knights because they can kill anything in melee.

All you have to do is fire three rounds a minute, and stand
