Hi folks,

This is a rush-down Creations of Bile list designed to overload the enemy with tough, hard hitting threats. Highlights include a strength 10 Master of Executions, 2 killy discos, and 3 strength 8 maulerfiends. My biggest concerns are whether my troops selection is robust enough (or overinvested into), whether I should worry more about flyers (I'm not liable to play many folks who use them, but I'd like to design the list for general purpose and avoid too much tailoring for my small play group), and whether there are extra combos/efficiencies I might have missed.

I'm not too interested in hearing suggestions for the inclusion of whole new units unless they fit the build theme of being fast on foot, high toughness, and hard hitting, but I would appreciate it a lot if folks had suggestions for secondaries/build tweaks/points re-allocations/tough matchups to keep in mind. Outside of that caveat, I'd sincerely appreciate any advice folks had to offer.

List below alongside explanations of my thought-processes.

++Babulous Bill 2.0: Babulous Babulicious++
2000pts
Faction: CSM
Legion: Creations of Bile

Spoiler:
+ HQ [25 PL, 470pts, -4CP] +
- Warlord: Lord Discordant w/ Baleflamer, Techno-virus, Mark of Khorne, Gaze of the Gods (trait), Z'aall the Wrathful (relic)
World Beater warlord. Gaze of the Gods gives extra attacks and a useful invuln save (why I went for Gaze over Flames of Spite). Z'aall gives extra damage on hit.

- Lord Discordant w/ Baleflamer, Techno-Virus, Unmarked, Surgical Precision (trait), Ul'o'cca (relic)
World beater disco. Ul'o'cca causes extra mortals on wound and surgical precision makes wounding more consistent.

- Master of Possession w/ Unmarked, Mutated Invigoration, Pact of Flesh, Smite, Staff of Possession
Stripped Down Support MoP. Largely there to help the big possessed unit in my elites slot. Thinking of switching Mutated Invigoration for Cursed Earth, but the +1 toughness is great on possessed, and the chance for +1 str means they're hitting at str 7 due to the +1 from Bile. Can be flexed onto the other units in the list as appropriate, though MoP is rather slow. I also don't like the fact that Cursed Earth is throwing invulns on a signifcant number of units that arleady have invulns, even if those invulns are 4+ instead of 5+.

+ Troops [16 PL, 280pts] +
- 10 Cultists.
- 10 Cultists.
- 5 Legionaries w/ Chainswords
- 5 Legionaries w/ Chainswords
This is my current troops core. I don't want to splash out more on Legionaries as I feel their power grows slower than their price efficiency when you invest in them most of the time. Chainswords and the legion traits are enough to make them a bit scary to charge into. Mark of Khorne + icon would make them a heck've a lot scarier for marginal points investment, sure, but my plan for their use is mostly to go do objectives stuff. Those 40 points of upgrades are better spent on units that will use them more consistently.

Still on the fence about whether this is enough or too much invested in troops. This section of the list has changed a lot. Given that Bile doesn't have obsec shennanigans, balancing obsec units is a bit tough. Taking out one of these units would give me space to get all the other units in my list exactly where I want them, but it's hard to decide if I can afford to do that.

+ Elites [19 PL, 332pts, -2CP] +
- Master of Executions, Mark of Khorne, Prime Test Subject (trait)
This build goes a bit away from what most people are doing with their MoEs, but I think it could be fun. Between Mark of Khorne and Prime Test Subject, this MoE is charging/intervening with str 10 attacks. There's a bit of scornergy given the mortal wound effect, but that str profile makes the 4/5 normal hit results that aren't 6s quite a bit scarier, I think. Bringing him to T5/W6 also helps a tad with his ability to survive, though his job is mostly to hang out with my possessed unit and die while increasing their threateningness. I'd like to keep Prime Test Subject, barring really strong arguments as to why it's not efficient, but have toyed with the idea of switching Mark of Khorne for Mark of Tzeentch. Wounding T5 on 2 is really tasty, but so is negating the first wound every turn.

- 9 Possessed w/ Black Rune of Damnation
Big scary block of relatively hard to kill dudes with solid speed and killyness. They're there to keep up with my load of fast threats and be a nuisance. I'd prefer 10 Possessed, but my points never seem to quite make room for them. As with my troops selections, I've flirted with cutting points here to make room for other stuff. 8 Possessed still feel like a solid, threatening blob, but I worry it'll be easier for particularly killy units to one-shot them at that point. There's some issues with the MoE and MoP having slower movement speeds, thus slowing down the Possessed, but I think the unit can spread out a bit as it moves forward to minimize this issue reasonably well.

+ Fast Attack [28 PL, 465pts] +
- 5 Chaos Bikers w/ Chainswords, Mark of Khorne, Icon, 2 Combi-Meltas
- 5 Chaos Bikers w/ Chainswords, Mark of Khorne, Icon, 2 Combi-Meltas
Lots of S6/AP -2 attacks on the charge and multimeltas to help a bit with hurting tougher things before the bikers get stuck in. It provides a bit of tactical flexibility. 21” of movement + the 1cp advance and charge CoB strat seems like a fun strategy. If I made points elsewhere, I'd give the biker champion a better weapon, but I feel like I've already invested a lot in these bikers and more might be uncalled for. Red Corsairs are probably the best faction to bring bikers, but I like the idea of them in CoB, too. Bikers are one of my favorite units and I'm always looking for ways to slot interesting versions of them into my lists. I think these ones fit that bill.

- Venomcrawler
It buffs the MoP's casting and I think it fits in with the rest of the list. Fast, efficient, and killy.

+ Heavy Support [21 PL, 450pts] +
- Maulerfiend w/ Lasher Tendrils
- Maulerfiend w/ Lasher Tendrils
- Maulerfiend w/ Lasher Tendrils
Strength 8 Lasher Tendrils. They have a similar defensive profile to a lot of the other units, similar movement, and play nicely with what the list is trying to do (rush forward and stab things). 3 Maulers and 2 Discos is a lot of big scary thingers rushing forward. I do worry a bit about traffic jams, though.
