Saw this link.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Sigmarxism/comments/we6sjr/why_is_it_so_easily_to_find_downloads_of_current/

So it sparked Curiosity. I googled some of the recently released stuff and as OP confirms a lot of Websites already host stuff even released this year such as Genestealer Cults on various Websites but Age of Sigmar 3rd Edition Faction books are practically impossible to find.

NOTE I AM AN OPPONENT OF PIRACY AND AM NOT ADVOCATING THIS CRIME ON THIS THREAD.

The topic is asking why 40K suffers so much from rampant piracy but Age of Sigmar does not esp for their Army Books. So far I purchased every faction I use's codex books and did not download anything despite finding sites on Googling after reading the link. So as I mentioned again Piracy is WRONG.

But I have to ask why does te tnred points to the opposite directions for these two games?

40K has a far larger player base, and Age of Sigmar is a far younger game only on it's 3rd edition compared to 40K's 9th.

That will change in time as GW are aggressively pushing AoS, and want it to be as big as 40K itself.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I downloaded every AoS pdf from the exact Reddit subreddit linked above not even a year ago. That subreddit has a reputation for having piracy scans, recasts contacts, and makes 4chan /tg/ look tame and friendly.

I remember 40k always being larger than WHFB. I assume it's the same with AOS having a smaller community.

The 40k forum sections are much larger for the AoS forums here. Age of Sigmar is also a new game. I think it was released when Warmachine was on 3rd edition and Kings of War was on 2nd edition already.
