Wasnt sure if this should go in Army Lists or Rules.

A friend and I play casual games...so its absolutely fine for us, but just to satisfy my curiosity, is it legal to have a Space Wolf list with Primaris in it, then to add a Long Fang unit in?

BS shows is as ok so I presume it is? Not sure how it all works, I would guess Primaris and first borne Marines work together plenty?

There are zero rules (yet) that prevent any space marines armies from taking both firstborn and primaris at the same time. Many winning lists do in fact take both.

I think there's an army of reknown variant list that might (the vanguard thing).

You are correct. I forgot (just like everyone else) about that.

One thing I want to point out is that what the Vanguard Spearhead says is "Your army can only include PHOBOS, SUPPRESSOR SQUAD, INVICTOR TACTICAL WARSUIT and IMPULSOR units."

It technically does not prevent firstborn and primaris from being in the same army, it restricts you to units that have certain keywords, all of which are primaris and the odds of any firstborn getting them are zero but still.
