1. Which is better.
Daemon Prince any warlord trait, any mark with wings and Daemon Relic your choice also has smite and mark power and 1 extra power cost 180?
Vs Lord Discordant any warlord trait, any mark any daemon relic cost 175. Whose stronger.

2. 3 obliterators 270. Vs 7 chaos terminators with any mark, any relic with 4 upgraded weapons cost 266. Who would win

Against what targets? What relics and marks do you plan on giving them? Do you need your CP to do other things, when you give them relics and whatnot? What do you expect them to do?

The Daemon Prince isn't worth it compared to the Discordant. Being a Psyker with wings just counter the sheer offense and defense that the Discordant has.

Winged Prince is functionally faster being able to jump over terrain and screens so has his uses, but his combat stats are stacked towards smacking something big rather than being good against anything. Lord has better all round stats on everything, in particular not being forced to take a mark allows access to the undivided daemon relic (the best one by far) which makes him good versus any target, and the built in regen and 2+ save makes him a lot more durable.

Terminators with any mix of weapons (preferably fists and meltas) and Black Rune relic > 3 Obliterators. Obliterators should run either as single model units to harass out of deepstrike or as a big unit with MoP, Terminators can act independently.

What does an MoP do for obliterators?

I’ve seen most lists involving terminators with MoP support (and relic). It seems like terminators benefit more from MoP support while Oblits can take it or leave it.

What is MoP? Khorn, Tzench, Nugrle, Slanesh and Undesided?

For disco and DP why not take both? My best list has both plus a MoP.

He does the +1 to wound power (warp marked) that helps obliterators a lot.

Power lists are taking terminators with MoP for either of these:
1. Stacking the same mark of chaos on both units so you have access to 2 of the better defense buffs (pact of flesh & any of the god powers), on top of black rune relic to make the terminators insanely tough.
2. Using sacrifical dagger to kill a terminator, then pact of flesh him back to life to creep into a much shorter charge out of deepstrike.

The MoP is probably good enough to support both units at once though, liber hereticus makes it a triple caster so you could warp mark a target for the oblits to shoot while also putting the rest of the buffs on terminators.

Interesting. Using the MoP to sacrifice a deep striking terminator unit in order to revive a guy closer seems very impractical since you'd need to roll a 5+ in order to kill off a full terminator.

I've only been playing with the +1S/T spell for the MoP while eyeing cursed earth and warp marked. I might have to give the others a try.

Giving the MoP and the terminators the same mark and the liber hereticus seems like the way to go, especially since neither Oblits nor Possessed can be buffed by the Mark spells. So it's easily applied to the terminators. Pact can go on any of the Core or daemonkin. That leaves the 3rd spell, of which I think warp marked is probably the best and can double as a shooting buff and melee buff.

I wish the Daemon Prince could take spells from either list. I think it'd be a lot of an attractive unit compared to the Discolord if it had access to either the better of the two schools or ideally both of them since it is a daemon prince after all. Oh well.

One additional thing I can say that makes the DP desirable over the Discolord is the base size. DP can fit into smaller places, and combined with its ability to fly over units and terrain, it has an advantage when it comes to reaching base contact with a specific target.

Rejoice in the coming oblivion!

Sacrificial dagger works on a per cast basis, so if you are triple casting you can keep going as many times as needed, up to 3d3 mortals if required is a dead terminator every time. Pact of flesh would also heal some/all of the overspill wounds if you overcook it a bit.

Oh you're right, I didn't think of using it over again. I suppose even if you rolled 2 1s, you'd still use the dagger to cast pact of flesh which would inflict the 3rd wound before you allocate the terminators as the target.

And then, that gives you 2" +40mm closer to the enemy unit for a 6" charge? Stuff like that is the reason I come to places like this lol
