I have found nothing in the rules when a fight is resolved. The rules mention resolve attacks. Is a fight resolved when after resolving all attacks there are still enemy units in engagement range ? When is a fight resolved ?

Blistering Assault: Each time this model fights, if it made a charge move or performed a Heroic Intervention this turn, then until that fight is resolved, add 1 to the Attacks characteristic of this model.

When that fight sequence ends it has resolved.

For a single unit, a fight is resolved when you have gone through all the steps of the fight sequence for that unit.

If you look at the context, you can see why this is true.

For me it is when all eligible units in engagement range to each other have completed all the steps in the fight phase.

No there is no hard rules as to when this is. It has to be inferred based on the rules in the fight phase section in the BRB.

That is when the Fight Phase ends.

A fight is a specific sequence of actions (Pile-In, Attack, Consolidate). A fight ends when the selected unit has completed its Consolidation.

I must not have been clear enough. For example if units A and B are in engagement range and units C and D are in engagement range the fight between A and B is resolved when both unit A and B have completed all the actions of the fight sequence (Pile in, fight, consolidate) assuming neither is destroyed before they have a chance to fight.

I disagree. The rules dont say when a fight ends, so we fallback to english language. A fight doesnt end when fighting is continued in the next turn.

You can disagree all you want, but the English language disagrees with what you said.

Do not ignore the context of the 40K rules.

If you do not ignore the context, you will see that the fight ends when a selected unit has completed all of the actions (Pile-In, Attack, Consolidate). After that, that fight is over.

It does not matter that it might continue in the next turn. It also might not. There is no way to know if it will or will not at this point. So in context, we have to go by what is in the rules. (As alextroy has pointed out).

The english language says that a fight that is still going on has ended ? I am not a native english speaker, but i am pretty sure that thats not true.

Just because the fight phase ends doesnt mean that the fight ends. Nothing in the rules says something like that.

If the fight continues next turn the fight has not ended.

But it has ended, look at the fight steps in the GW rules and don't ignore the context. Nothing in the rules that says the fight continues, so it does not. (It may continue next turn, but there is nothing saying the fight continues from one turn to the next).

No is the default in a permissive ruleset. You need to have some rules that say the fight continues, for it to continue. The default is no it does not.

There are no rules that say it continues, so it does not. It is that simple.

False. There is nothing in the rules that says the fight continues, so it does not.

So this is another in the seemingly endless stream of p5's "just asking an honest question" threads where they then proceed to disagree with everyone else because they think they already know the answer. If you have an opinion of your own, it's best to state that in the initial post to speed things up a little.

To answer the initial question, a Fight is resolved after all the steps of the Fight sequence have been completed.

Note, this may mean there is still a combat ongoing. This would colloquially be referred to as a "fight". That's irrelevant when discussing the rules. The rules give us a sequence that describes a Fight. The end of that sequence indicates, in rules terms, the resolution of that Fight. If the units are still within Engagement Range in the next Fight phase, we would resolve the Fight again. In this case the word "resolve" is referring to the Fight sequence, not any general definition of the word "fight".

Pretty much the above. A fight is resolving the fight steps for a specific unit.

After all who says a unit in combat one turns end will still be in combat by the time we get to the fight phase again? Nothing

Another p5 special. Ignore.
