Played a couple games of Lion Rampant’s new edition last week. It’s pretty close to the original rules. The tweaks to leaders being important to command of your army makes the game less swingy, which is a positive step. Also, the rescoping of unit types to incorporate the dark ages and very late middle ages let’s players counts as almost any humanoid model into service if you so desire. It is a good time, not too serious. Still more hollywood medieval than crunchy historical.
