Setting up my shed for painting but sometimes it will be cold, does that matter?

I could insulate and have a little radiator in there

Temperature can affect viscosity so if it gets very cold you might find paints don't flow as easily/smoothly as you'd like.

That said chances are by the time you hit temperatures that really affect the paint, they will be affecting you as well and that will impact your motor controls on your hands and such.

I’d worry about paints freezing if it gets too cold. I’ve had pots killed due to being left out and frozen/thawed.

My last house the basement was always cold, and I was able to paint without issues. It did limit the time I could spend at the bench, but that was probably a good thing for my back.

I've painted down to about 10 to 12°C and not had a problem. Much colder than that and I start to get joint pains in my fingers. My house is horribly insulated and so in winter we don't like turning the heating on since the heat leaves the house so quickly that it would be expensive to keep it warm, so winter is typically 10 to 13°C in my house, occasionally dropping below 10°C but I don't think I've ever tried painting below that.
