So I have about 450 bucks and was looking at setting up an ork army.

Currently Some of my favorite models or what I think looks pretty awesome

-BEASTBOSS ON SQUIGOSAUR
- Beast snagga boys
-squighog boys

So to flesh this out what would be some recommendations? I suppose I could get a combat patrol and a truk?
Just looking to fit a beast/squig theme, that won’t make me leaving the game
Thinking I made a horrible purchase because it
Doesn’t do anything.

In keeping with your beast theme, consider the following;
Squiggoth, Gargantuan squiggoth, & Red Gobbo on Bouncer.

A squig-themed list can have success, even if it is not top tier. All the units on your list can do work, especially the beastboss. I use a nob on squighog as a distraction missile to protect the beastboss.
Killrigs are excellent, and flyers are also good, especially the wazbom.
Beast snaggas can go in the kill rig.
grots are useful for holding objectives.
Haven't added the cost though, GW is getting pretty pricey (along with every else).

The beast snagged can only build in a certain, fixed way. They are fun to paint but rather boring to built.
If it is your cup of tea, you could get the regular boyz (cheaper) and add your own trophies out of greenstuff. As the Boyz, Nobs and lootas are all interchangeable, you get more options.
Also, the grot herder and one of the boss models both have a small squig that go with them! Might be a fun addition somewhere.
The Kill Team Kommandos have cool rules and are fun to build and paint, too.

Boss on Squigosaur, Squighog Boys, Gretchin and Kommandos are the core of a lot of Ork lists lately.

I would slightly diversify my purchases for 2 main reasons:
1. Depending on how competitive your area is, kommandos and stormboyz serve niche roles other units do not. Adding Zagstrukk gives you another powerful character to your list.
2. GW has a tendency to change rules so that once good units stop being used. Last edition tankbustas and lootas were great - now they sit on the shelf. GW did this to squigbuggies in this edition. Unless you have unlimited funds, you should not lean too hard one way.
