Abandon any hope of completion for all shall return to the great pile.

For once I am actually managing to get models finished before their game dies. Or finishing models whose game has already died - looking at you cool shark people. I also finally have room to display and store armies other than a closet.

And so stuff as it happens.

Destroid Monster: Arii 1/160 Scale

The first up here is going to be one of my favorite designs. The walking artillery piece that is The Monster. It's also going to be my first scale model build in a long time.

I made fun of a friend several times over the years for having this kit buried on his shelves. He had dragged it here from his time in Germany and then never touched it for maybe thirty years. He passed away a few months ago and I found it while sorting through his massive collections. Time to get this built. Should be easy, not a lot of parts, still in good shape. Oh, no instructions. Could get interesting.

Im a big fan of Macross as a whole the only model I assembled from it Macross Zero VF-1 Valkyrie (Battleloid mode) was a pain in the ass Hasagawa didnt really think about the engineering in it.. Not having ANY polycaps to aid in articulation..

I have looked into this kit that you are building.... Get on it and start...Im intrigued..

Right now I am looking for any instructions online but google is letting me down. Just horrible low-res scans of the untranslated page that was originally in the box. If I don't find anything then it's just going to be trial and error this weekend.

And thanks for the hint what all the rubber rings were Sadly it looks like the time spent opened in a basement has not been kind to them. About 1/4 are dried and brittle. I'm not to concerned with poseability so might just have to pick and choose where they go.
