Hey guys, I’ve been interested in warhammer 40k for a while now but held off jumping in as it is a large investment of both time and money. Recently I’ve been checking eBay for a reasonable army to buy that can get me playing a few games and painting as well. I dove in and bought an army this past week and I could use some help identifying the models, advice on building a list with them and repainting them. I got it for 135 free shipping, it was labeled Dark Angels ravenwing army but there’s only 1 unit of bikes. Thanks guys

Well, you've got a fairly generic Dark Angels army more-so than a DA Ravenwing force.

Picture #1: Character of some sort.
Picture #2: a Nephilim Fighter
Picture #3: 2 Land speeders with assault cannons
Picture #4: Predator with turret autocannon & sponson Lascannons
Picture #5: 5 scouts with sniper rifles
Picture #6: 5 Terminators - 4 storm bolters, 1 assault cannon
Picture #7: Tactical squad with plasma cannon
Picture #8: 3 Ravenwing Bikes
Picture #9: another Tactical squad with plasma cannon + an extra character model with sword on far left
Picture #10: extra missle launcher toting marine + Chaplain + 3 sgts/character type models.

Now you just need the rule book & a SM codex & a Dark Angels book.

No real advice listwise for this. Once you've got the rules & codices it's just a matter of plugging squads into formations & tallying up the pts. for the size of game you're playing. What you've got is a splash of everything & list building will be straight forward
