Greetings,

In a competitive sense you're really struggling here. Basically your entire army is footslogging, which would allow the opponent a lot of capability to shoot your melee units up as they approach and/or move away from you depending how mobile he is and/or get off a charge first. Incubi are amazing, but they don't like to get assaulted, Wyches melt to even minor dakka, ect. ect.

You also look like you're struggling to get to 2000 points. With comments like 'fully upgraded' on your vehicles I assume you're just taking all of the upgrades available? That's not a plan - that's just having an army that is a little on the small side and burning points to make it a 2000 point list. That's going to hurt you because you're throwing away points.

Also, a lot of your unit weapon combos feel a little bit unfocused. Your Trueborn have both 2 blasters and a dark lance, are they going to sit back on objectives and snipe with the lance? Or advance up the field to bring the blasters into play and seize mid field objectives? You could easily drop one or the other and save a lot of points if you had a plan for what they were doing.

Wracks have this too, with 2 sniper rifles on a maxed out unit that is otherwise built for assault. Those rifles are just wasted points. Frankly I'll suggest the rifles just aren't a good upgrade inherently because you can't field enough to really make them a sniper threat, and everything else about Wracks makes them good for assault or being a minimized unit camping objectives so why ever pay for those rifles?

There are a bunch of these sorts of issues riddled through the army (Glaive Aggie Succubus, Blast Pistol Scourges, Liquifier Grots, ect.), and I go back to my original note that I feel you basically have a 1500 force here or so (in my honest opinion you have the apparent army to build about 1000 competitively), and then added 500+ points of upgrades to pad it out to field it at 2000.

You're not going to do well at 2000 unless you're playing against an opponent who has likewise over padded their force.

If your goal is to just toss out 2000 just to do it, then this will do that. If your goal is to try to play in a more competitive sense then I would advocate either playing smaller matches, or if you have a larger collection doing a full rework of the list as footslogging is not a great plan unless you're going really heavy Coven.

Regards,
Thor.

Thanks for the tips!
I made some changes to the list, keeping in mind what you said.
Basically I got rid of unnecessary weapons from Grotesqes, Wracks and Solarite, I also removed Cronos, one Ravager and all upgrades except Phantasm Grenade Launcher on the other one (and splinter racks on Raider for running around with Firstborn inside.
With new points gained I included 2 Venoms with Grisly Trophies for transporting Incubi, added another Raider for Bloodbrides and increased number of Reavers to 5.
Oh and I also swapped Blasters on Scourges in favour of Haywire Blasters.
I hope now the army will perform better.

That does really up your mobility and range options and does sound better to me. I'd probably tend to favor a Ravager over the Reavers, but that can be a bit of personal choice and they could help you snag some back field objectives.

Blasters vs. Haywire Blasters is a bit of a debate, but both are good so you can always try them both out and see what works better for you in your local meta. I tend to use Haywire myself, but play against a lot of mech too.
