As an old third edition player, I have a lot of stuff that I am using from legends. I wanted to ask for everyone's advice as it relates to orks 9th edition codex. Keep in mind I play friends and family. Everything is casual but I still want it to be fair.

Also, after having initially spurned my older models, I've realized that my inner calling since Gorkamorka Days has always been as an Old School Kult of Speed Player. So I splashed some red paint onto everything and made an Evil Sunz Detachment. Now I Drive By Dakka Everything in Sight.

Some issues though...

Updated Weapon Profiles: I use the updated weapon profiles from Codex Orks 9th. So all of my buggies with twin linked heavy shootas have been converted from assault to Dakka Weapons. I also use the updated Skorcha weapon profile for my Skorcha buggy and the updated kannon profile for my Big Gunz. Of course, this lets me do a lot of More Dakka Strategem using the twin linked heavy shootas which, when combined with Drive By Dakka is incredibly power. Is this over powered?

I didn't see a matching weapon profile for my buggies with rocket launchers on them so I just kept them with the assault 2 profile found on legends. Does this sound fair or should I use a different weapon profile?

To Trukk or not to Trukk? Slightly more controversial. Should I use the old flat bed trukks as buggies for my kult of speed or use them as proper trukks? I noticed the new trukk model looks bigger and taller. So I'm wondering if using the old trukks would be a little too sneaky and give it an unfair advantage with being able to hide behind terrain and not be seen easier.

What do you think about that one?

Most Legends are overpriced and underpowered. (But dont mix rules, use the most current and it wont be over powered).

As for models, use what you have. I don't see an issue with it.

When I use Legends units I run them as they're printed. I don't change weapon stats/types. So what if it's assault on one thing & dakka on another? (generally that's detrimental to me, so my opponents not too concerned. )

As for the old truck vs a new truck? Both are trucks.
I make no distinction between using old models vs new models - other than liking one model more than another sculpt wise.
Ex: I really dislike the look of the current truck kit. I built it & thought it looked too much like a toddler's toy from the Fisher Price Imaginext line. So I tore it back apart for bitz, confidant that I could scratch build something I like better or find some better model.
And I'm not married to the idea that 40k must be played with GW models.....
So my own Grots roll around in Kromlech not-WWII German 1/2tracks from their own ork line, a 1/35th scale Tamyia British Universal Carrier, a WWII German Opal-Maultier 1/2track from Bolt Action, a converted Star Wars Imperial Troop Transport from their new micro vehicle line (it's the gray hover transport with side pods you see stormtroopers deploy from in the D+ shows {seen in Obi-wan I think}, and a kit-bashed thing that started life as a salvaged Primaris speeder.
