I have a castelan/tyrant painted up in a way that it can go both chaos or imperial. I am considering building a full army. The general blueprint of the army is a big knight, six smaller once and a medium knight.

But I just don't understand how the tyrant work. For imperial castelan I can take the plasma relic cawl's rath that turns the plasma into the overcharged D3 version without the mortal wounds on 1's. But I see no such build for the chaos version. They have marks. Do anybody have any suggestions? Goonhammer had not suggestions.

If you opt to overcharge with the tyrant you just hope you don't roll 1s....

Then it does not sound as impressive. D2 is not that great. And 2 mortal wounds on a 1 is a bit bad.

There's no suggestion to give you because Tyrants are bad.

Like, really bad.

I tend to agree with the above poster that the Tyrant class does not seem like the best Knight option, but here are two ideas;

Run it with the Lance build, and take Vow of Dominance and Veil of Medrengard. You'll have a 4++ against shooting, and if they happen to bring a very heavy weapon to bear you'll only be able to be wounded on 4+. Sit back and dakka dakka while your smaller knights advance.

Or if you'd like to be more aggressive, take the harpoon build and take an Infernal house you'll get a bunch of buffs that will help you getting up close and personal and since Chaos Knights on average like to get a little assaulty it should help. The harpoon is a pretty scary weapon to any big targets and should get a lot of respect and fear when attached to an extra fast knight who could take a Pact with the Dark Gods and get up after being dropped to near assure a 'poon to an enemy face.
