Yeah in a 1v1 fight with primarchs are going to be in a league of their own. Maaaaybe one of the character dreadnauts could wander into the ring. The ultamarines one is alright, especially if in the combat logos.

Of course if instant death is off the table any primarch with brutal will have an advantage.

The only named character vs character i've had so far is fulgrim vs guilliman. It was a bit of a grind that took several turns but Fulgrim came out on top. A technical contender would be a match with Fulgrim vs Valdor. Fulgrim rolled poorly then got stabbed in the back a bunch by the custodes unit surrounding the challange.

So, when powered up, Callas Typhon is really nasty. He can get like 9 attacks on the charge (8 in a challenge) with S6, WS7 and he has rad grenades and fleshbane at AP2. So, against most non- EW T4 characters, any failed invulnerable is instant death. He lacks EW though, so it might be a mutually assured destruction against someone like Sigismund, but he'll do bad things to most Praetors.
