Greetings every one!

Named Isaac, at least in internet, and know about WH40K not so much, for example: who is Astartes, couple of races (Tau, Necrons etc.), what is Warp.
So, I want to know more about it, can you suggest me some YT channels and/or some literature.

I interested in this subculture due it versatility in many questions beggining from history ending with the statute of the army.

Also, can I use elements of this universe in my doodle drawings? I will maybe post them here. The key word is "maybe". Sounds weird, but better ask.

With respect, Isaac.

Hi Issac, at least in internet! Yes you can totally put up your art here. You can post in 40K Off Topic if you are not sure where your creations belong. You can also upload them to the Dakka Gallery! As long as you don't profit off of your 40K inspired works you will be alright.

The 40K rulebooks are a good crash course into the lore, as is the Warhammer 40K Lexicanum web page (basically Wikipedia for 40K lore).

Here of some of my favorite 40K books that would be a good introduction to the universe:
1. For the Emperor, Sandy Mitchell (+ sequels)
2. First and Only, Dan Abnett (the whole Gaunt's Ghosts series, really)
3. The opening trilogy to the Horus Heresy:
Horus Rising, False Gods, Galaxy in Flames

I cannot help much with Youtube recommendations, but I've heard that Baldemort’s Guide to Warhammer videos are good.

If you have other questions, try posting in the relevant boards for more responses.

The Emperor protects!
