To put it simply, in the case of ignoring the existence of PSM fluff and representing only ordinary SM existence, just use PSM as an elite unit (veterans and terminators), and the new MK6 and new CSM are used as troop units

PSM intercessors (and helllasers) are veterans and PSM aggregators are terminators. Of course, you need some conversions(such as glue terminator bits to PSM aggressors).

These PSMs can also be used as chaos chosen and terminators. You can conversion them become chaos units by removing acquila symbols and glues some CSM redundant bits.

Benefits of doing this:

1. Because the PSM unit is slightly larger than the new MK6 and the new CSM, it can be treated as a prominent performance - "Why are these dudes larger than other their brethens? Because they are elite units."

2. Because it is an elite unit, it can free you creative for many restrictions - "Why do these dudes have strange equipment and everyone of them looks different? Because they are elite units, everyone's equipment is customized and unique."

3. These PSM units can be used both for SM and CSM as materials of conversion, which means that you may reduce costs. For example, when you need some outstanding Chaos Chaosen, you only need to install some redundant CSM bits and simple conversion based on PSM intercessors, and then you can made a quite expressive Chaos Chosen without buying a Chaos Chosen kit.

In addition, there are other benefits that I haven't thought of yet.

I don't like this idea. Sure, give primaris to chaos, why not? But making them all elites would screw so many existing army builds, and would force the primaris fans to buy regular marines as troops (they often hate the classic sculpts). It would be better to keep them in their slots, not to force any major rebuilds for players.

Brutal, but kunning!

it just for purpose of proxy, counts as normal SM veterans and CSM chosen.there is nothing so called PSM,just normal ordinary SM but slightly bulky and well-scaled.

Surely most would be fine with this as a proxy? Cant see GW encouraging it these days though, Primaris are too key a line.

I mean, I wouldn't do this. I like my Primaris being my baseline.

What is the goal/point of this? What is the intention?

They/them

Primaris only belong in my Night Lords as bits and pieces hanging from their armour, or nailed to their vehicles.

Nah, they should've just made the Primaris as the baseline stat for Marines to begin with and then adjust accordingly.

Converted well I can see it as a nice project for csm. Or renegades if one wanted to convert less though itd still be cool to see some kit bashing.

I do think primaris are nice models but hate how they have messed with chapter structure

FWIW, I think primaris and firstborn statlines will (or at least should) be fused together at some point.

The differences between an intercessor and a bolter marine don't really warrant different datasheets. Just lump them both into the "bolter marine" statline, and say that the datasheet represents both firstborn and primaris marines. Just make primaris status a fluff thing, basically. Similarly, hellblasters can just become interchangable with plasma gun marines, assault intercessors become the same as assault marines, etc.

The more visually distinct primaris (any of the jump pack guys and maybe eradicators/aggressors) could probably remain their own units.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

I don't mind keeping them separate. I'd even like to see some shenanigans of low value but high entertainment if you have all firstborn, all primaris, or a somewhat even mix.

I also wouldn't object to making an all Primaris force that has fallen to chaos using the loyalist book for points and such using similar restrictions to when they let us do this in the past. You'd have to kind of dance around relics, traits and keywords.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.
