Although three Leman Russ tanks would count as a single unit on your order of battle, each tank would have its own Crusade card. Each would earn experience individually. However, once listed as a unit on your order of battle, they can't be separated - you either take all three to a battle or none of them.
...unless you use the unofficial Goonhammer Crusade Balance Dataslate:
Not following why 3 Russes would each have a crusade card if they are a squadron.
They act as different units once deployed but are a squad on the crusade roster?
I can see why the might need a separate crusade card each from a balance point of view but cant find any rules that state vehicles always have a separate card
