GUILLIMAN

And my primarch is done!
I picked up this 3d print in etsy for fairly cheap. I was not 100% convinced on it, but I wanted to give it a try in case that some re-posing and decent paintjob would made it work.
Really proud of the painting, specially on the face, blues, golds and sword. Perhaps I'll do the definitive guilliman in the future, but this guy is going to be leading my ultras to battle.

Since last time I re-made the base, since it looked too boring and not hiving to the mini the importance it has. We all know the bigger the tactical rock, the better the model.
With the painting process, although I did an airbrush pass and painted the golds with metalics as a base... I pretty much ended up re-painting the whole thing by brush. With the blues you get much better control of the tones and blends with a brush, and the golds, being NMM, needed a non metalic base to work better everywhere.

Size comparisons. Maybe a bit too big, but still great.

Slowly loosing my mind doing the golds. Not really, dont know what thousand sonds players complaing about, I find it fairly relaxing as long as I have the pacience for it.
Admittedly I went for way to many passes and I could have been much more efficient and precise, but trying my best.
I took one photo at the completion of each pass just to see the differences. Too many of them!

Great jobb, he looks both regal and cool.
There are one or two parts of the sculpt I dont care much for, but overall I think he really embodies the qualities you would expect from Roboute. And ofcourse, your paintjob bring out the best of the sculpt

Perhaps somewhat on the large side, but I think he would look great leading the men.
