Frankly, I'm tired of it. I am not a precise person and the paint comes out in various sized blobs forcing me to think too much when I just want to paint.
Lazy. I'm lazy. I'm getting old.
So which Citadel wash will get me the closest? Looking online, I'm guessing it's either Nulin Oil or Drakenhoff Nightshade. Before I head to the FLGS I thought I'd get some opinions.
Thank you in advance my siblings.
EDIT: I use this gak over everything. Everything.

Drakenhoff Nightshade is a very dark blue. You may find what you need with Nuln Oil but I would also look at Basilicanum Grey contrast or Black Templar contrast along with some contrast medium.

Duncan made a DIY Payne's Grey wash on this Tip of the Day:
EDIT: You could possibly use Space Wolves Grey thinned with Contrast medium for a similar result.

Is the problem in the delivery, then? What payne's grey are you using? The bottle of medium viscosity paint shown in the article, or a tube of heavy body acrylic, or...?
Liquitex, Golden and Daler-Rowney all include payne's grey in their low viscosity, dropper-bottle, fluid acrylic ranges. Daler-Rowney also has payne's grey in their FW acrylic ink range.

I thought 'wait, what? Space Wolves grey is like payne's grey?' Then I went to look. GW paints have sure changed around since my day.
GW has used some old names from long discontinued paints for new paints (e.g., Space Wolves Grey and Snakebite Leather are both Contrast paints, unrelated to the original paints of the same name).
