So,

I have a dream, ambitious and costly.

I need help figuring out which of the 9 Loyalists would fight the 9 Traitors in 1 v 1

i.e.

Sanguinius vs Horus (obvious story reasons)
Russ vs Magnus (a real back breaker of a reason)
Fulgrim vs Ferrus (a sad tale)

I need a hand with the rest. My lore is a bit rusty as are my painting skills. Been 20 yrs since i painted and started back up in Jan. Looking to invest time and money into a project that will become a set of display dioramas on a set of 9 shelves.

Didn't Corax face Lorgar and then briefly Curze on Istvaan?

off the top of my head right now:

- the khan vs mortarion (happens twice, once on prospero before morty turns to nurgle, later on terra when he has become a daemon prince)

- curze vs the lion (thramas crusade)

- lorgar vs corax (on isstvan)

- dorn vs alpharius (on pluto)

Rogal Dorn vs Alpharius
Jaghatai Khan vs Mortarion (pre and post demonhood)
Konrad Kurze vs Lion'el Johnson/Vulkan
Lorgar vs Guilliman/Corax
Angron vs Guilliman

I'm still working through the solar wars books, but that's some of the battles that come to mind.

So based on what's been said. If i put Lorgar v Corax and Kurze v The Lion. It leaves Pert and Vulkan.

Though they didn't technically fight that could work because it was pretty much The Iron Warriors that caused Vulkans defeat and capture.

You could have Curze vs Lionel and Guilliman at the same time...
