To be honest Reaper im mildly dissapointed and frustrated with this one as well. Its bloody annoying to be fighting something you know you cant kill but have to fight anyway, you cant run, you cant fight, you cant give up because that would be wrong ive gone down that path already and ive made a promise to warork


and to be really honest if something can survive 150 lascannon shots and still be happy that is rediculous

im not leaving just voicing my concerns, having an immortal enemy is ok, ive kind of gotten used to that with syrath, but 4 of them? Who chase us like they are dogs and we are the rabbit? It gets frustrating

(OOC: Yeah Marta it is a bit frustrating but you have to remember that this is the Eye of Terror...its their playground and where they're most powerful. Besides...this pushes the story forward...everything cant go the heroes' way all the time or else it would be boring...)

ludias growls in frustration and nods to hunter who lets rip with all 4 missles

The Employer looks towards the incoming missiles and tries to scramble away but is consumed in the blast, little more than bone and metal remain floating in the dark void of space.

Ludias cant help letting out a woop and hunter growls in appreciation as the fighter jinks into a secondary flight path to avoid the debris. Ludias raises the Tau commander on his vox
{One target destroyed, allthough it took a lot to take him down. Requesting permission to chase secondary objective into the hangar?}

"What? You can't Luidias, the ships going to be full of Chaos marines and Daemons not to mention the Employer. But we could have a full on assault on the craft, but there may be difficulties."

{Listen to me dammnit, thats my only friend stuck on that dammned ship, I only asked out of politeness I have an obligation to that Eldar to go after him. Bel' needs me right now Shas'o and with all due respect I cant wait around while you and your subordinates flap around this needs to happen now!!}

OOC: That was Hunter but it's fine

"Fine Luidias but remember the Employers were willing to pay a massive price for the Eldar, what do you think they need him for?"

Hunter activates the turret and begins to shoot down incoming Drop-Ships an fighters with ease.

"Whatever it is it cant be good... hunter, convince me against this seriously, I know its wrong but if someone doesnt stop me Im going to end up getting both of us killed"

"It would be wrong, If we attack the Employers we risk Belt'yans life. I suggest we make a plan and wait till the Employers make their move, I don't believe the Space Marine Captain survived his encounter and the Space Marines will be lost without him. I'll see if Syrath can do anything about it with his powers, Syrath come!"

Syrath appears were Bel'tyan would be sitting and turns towards Luidias and Hunter;

"Are my skills needed once again? What must I do mi lord?"

"Corrupt a Space Marine company."

"WHAT? You want me to......to a......corrupt a Space marine....company? Marius wasn't hard after the deaths but a company...it will take awhile. Syrath away!"

Syrath dispersers.

Beltayn gets to his feet, not knowing where he is or what is going on but he sees the Employers looking at him and conversing. He speaks as he rises to his feet.

"Alright, you have me, bravo, now what in hell's name is it that you want with me?"

"Your foolish race lead us to a fleet with power beyond imagining, but they could not activate and in their desperate nature they pointed us to a 'ranger' who's blood line matched the one we needed. Using you we will break the balance of the eternal war and push it into a new stage, now [One] take the Eldar to the fortress and prepare the fleet and Coraks do not allow the Sniper to enter the fortress."

The Employer marked [One] grabs the Eldar by the scruff of his hood and leaves for the Hanger where he boards a drop-ship with the Eldar and several Elite Terminators, the ship leaves the hanger and begins its journey towards the planet.

Beltayn sits in the dropship thinking about his friend and wondering if the two will ever see each other...then he remembers something, there was a transmitter on his belt that Ludias might be able to pick up for a signal...Beltayn had no idea if it was powerful enough to get through and even if it was he had no clue if the warp would garble the signal or not but he knew he had to try. As he fiddled with the switch at his waist, he spoke to the Employer to try and distract him.

"The other one mentioned a bloodline, what bloodline? I was not aware that I was descended from anything special, and what does it have to do with this fleet?"

"Eldar engineers and Farseers, they foresaw the Fall and created a fleet of ships to protect themselves. We found them and forced them to our own will, they nearly did as we commanded but fled. Few survived and they were young, simple children hidden from our reach."

Beltayn nods, the Fall was a great and terrible moment in his kind's history. The only reason there were any Eldar left was because a few brave individuals amongst them foresaw what was to come, and despite the ridicule of their neighbors, took steps to prevent the Fall from consuming the entire race.

"Children you say? You must remember that I am also a child compared to you, one who has lived for thousands of years, so I do not think that you mean actual Eldar children. But that aside, you still haven't answered both my questions, what do you mean by my bloodline, what makes it so special? If you want me to cooperate, I demand answers!"

"Your blood is the only one of the children who could activate the device, they removed the specific blood sample required to activate the fleet. You were chosen to be the 'key' by whatever relatives you have and were taught in ways to avoid us secretly, if you were told properly they believed you could be susceptible to our corruption."

Beltayn thought about what he was being told, he thought back to his life in his craftworld when he was very young. He had no real knowledge of his parents other than they were die hard followers of the path. He remembered his teachers and his mentors were especially strict on him regarding the Eldar paths, so much so that it repelled him into the path of the outcast that he had followed for so long now.

Was it possible that his entire life had been orchestrated secretly to safeguard some great weapon or system. Could it be that he had been herded towards his path by his people in order to have him out of the clutches of these Daemons he was now in the company of? The possibility of it made him sick to his stomach...his head swirled as he wondered what part of his life was truth and what part was fact...

Well, whatever they were headed to was the thing which supposedly was only able to be activated by him. Part of him wanted to see this "fleet" which his blood was supposed to hold the key to but another part of him knew he had to figure out some way to prevent these daemons from using it...or else it could spell doom for a good many of his people. And despite his suspicions about their trickery, tricks he was sure that his people's leaders could conjure as they did so often to manipulate other races, he would not willingly doom his people, he may have been a mercenary, but he was born an Eldar and like it or not his blood screamed for their protection...

After all, only a few of them were left...

The Drop-Ship lands and allows the Employers and marines to depart, with Belt'yan heavily guarded. They enter a large courtyard where several large spires sit undisturbed and quietly as the Employer hovers towards a large glowing control panel that sits in the center of the massive Court Yard. The Employer pushes the Ranger forward and nods to him;

"Place your hand on the panel."

Ludias pulls the ship around as the carrier jumps into the warp and brings it back to the hangar. He opens the hatch and walks to the bridge but he is anything but calm his now healed wrist is shaking slightly as he rebuilds his rifle. The weapon snaps together and he grins coldly under his mask. He was back

He waited for the elevator to take him to the bridge with barely shielded impatience. He felt the whole ship judder into a hupe jump and wondered how the Space marines would be coping with the loss of thier captain.

As he approached the Tau commander he raised his hand and pointed his sword at the commander, not threteningly, but enough to make sure his attention was fixed firmly on Ludias
"What are we doing about Beltayn?"

(gak will hit the fan if he presses the button.)

"We are preparing troops but we have little information on what they are using him for, and where in the fortress he is. We do have one lead though, his tracker and we were able to pin-point his final position. In the Chaos Carrier above the planet, he left in a Drop-Ship not long ago though."

Ludias curses loudly and audibly but contains it in his mask with a vox seal and then sprints back to his ship,
"Hunter with me, Sha'o I will mee you and your Tau there."

Once Ludias and Hunter are in Endgame he gets them out into space and flicks the warp drive on leaping them into the atmosphere.

what do I see reaper?

The fortress has changed, the spires are still visibly damaged and the turret fields expanded. The AA-guns turn towards the fighter but do not fire and de-active giving Luidias a clear shot at a landing pan were several Drop-Ships are being repaired, Chaos ground crews scatter as the fighter comes closer to the massive fort.

Hunter unleashes full salvos against the ground crews and the dropships wiping out any resistance they may have had then the two get out. Ludias drawing his rifle and scanning the area.

"Where would they go?

"No clue but we may have just kicked the Hornets nest, but I'm surprised with the lack of a welcoming committee."

The Door at the end of the Landing pad opens and the Tech Lord emerges and swings his axe into a attack position, several more marines carrying blades accompany him towards the two new arrivals.

"More guests? Theron, Hacker, keep the marine busy. He is my prize for the Employ....."

A com interrupts the Tech-Lord before he can attack;


"But..my lord we....but....fine. It seems we cannot harm you due to your friends terms, sadly."

Ludias grins at Hunters statement
"You just shot it to pieces remember?"
Ludias grimaces slightly at the sight of 4 marines
"Well thats not stopping me from killing you is it?"
Ludias pumps of 4 rounds with his rifle one into the head of each offender. The bullets enter in through the eye sights and detonate with a acid charge that has the Marines screaming for a few seconds before they drop.

The Tech-Lord quickly flees leaving the gate open for Hunter and Luidas, something rises behind them. A drop-ship which quickly leaves as well but no before firing, the two quickly enter the door-way and make their way through several corridors to find a balcony over looking a court-yard dotted with large triangular shapes and in the center stand Beltyan and an Employer.

Ludias looks over at Beltayn and sees the Eldars hand poised over a rather ominous looking button
"Bel' NO!!!!"

(I think we should leave it like that until WARORK replies)

Stalkers are Brutes that use stealth and infiltration tactics against their enemies during combat, they make use of Active Camo. (Maniacal laugh)

Doing a Marius (v): Surviving a near death experience or something that SHOULD have killed you, not by the skin of your teeth, but in such a resounding manner that your foe is defeated. Often escaping with serious injuries.

Doing a Ludias (v): Being able to create almost anything from base materials in a hostile environment in complete calm, only for that item to become a key instrument of success.

Doing a Marta (1) (v): Performing a near impossible or simply epic feat within the bounds of a characters own abilities and being able to avoid becomeing overpowered or godmodding.

(2) (v) Being able to create in depth and seemingly epic characters that stretch the rules of character creation to the limit to create the perfect character to fill a role.
