If a weapon with lethal hits and devastating wounds rolls a six to hit, is it a mortal wound?

No.
A Lethal Hit is a wound, but unless specifically stated otherwise, it’s a wound with no die value.

Exactly. A Lethal Hit automatically Wounds. It does not generate a Critical Wound, which is what his necessary to trigger Devastating Wounds.

Critical on lethal hits auto wounds.

You dont get to roll.

A critical wound roll causes a devastating wound. So no Lethal hits cannot cause Devastating because you don't roll wound.

A Spiritseer joining Wraithguard would grant them Lethal Hits and they have Dev. wounds on their wraithcannon.

Marines can also do that one. Sternguard and Lieutenant.

Thousand sons can also end up with that combo

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"
