I’m a bit behind the curve on the changes 10th has brought

I went looking, in the new 40K app, for creations of bile and it’s gone. Ok. What I didn’t realise is the index for chaos space marines is now just for the factions heretic astartes. No mention of the black legion or any other chapters like emperor’s children or red corsairs, even though Mr Blackheart is still there.

Do you think they are doing this so we create pur own merry band of heretics or is this the start of supplements for each CSM legion in the same way we have for Loyalist chapters???

Subfactions are gone for the 10th Indexes.

Yeah but Black legion was never a sub faction for codex CSM it was the faction

Only the snowflakes, though, plus Black Templars who've been recently re-elevated to snowflake status.

Iron Hands, Raven Guard, Imperial Fists, White Scars, Ultramarines, Salamanders were all knocked back down to just "space marines" with no special rules.

Anything other than the name on the front of the Codex is a subfaction.
