Subject: Forgefiend conversion ideas?

I'm making a Chaos Space Marine army that won't use any actual Chaos Space Marines (if I have to, I have conversion ideas on what else to use instead). Part of the theme of this army will be to convert vehicles into the different Daemon Engine units (for example, converting an Onager Dunecrawler into a Venomcrawler). I would like to make a Forgefiend, but am unsure on what vehicle(s) are roughly an equivalent enough size. I have an idea for using a Goliath Truck for the conversion, but I'm concerned it might be too small, and I don't know how I'd represent a power generator to make the weapons make sense.
Any ideas on what vehicle(s) would be the right size for a Forgefiend? If a Goliath Truck could work, any ideas for a power generator I could strap onto it?

Goliath is too small.
I have two Maulerfiends, and each one is significantly larger than a Goliath Truck.

Do you have a suggestion on a vehicle chassis I can use as a basis for a conversion?

Yeah, I just got a Maulerfiend recently, they are much bigger than you realise! Haven’t seen it in person, but maybe the new Votann Battlewagon (or whatever it’s called)?

If you don't intend to use them on tournaments you might go away with a goliath truck but it needs to look alive to really feel as a deamon engine.
Have you considered using toy dinosaurs (as some do for Squiggoths) and up armouring them, or some beast from any fantasy range?

My idea for my Chaos army is that this is a rebellion that stumbled across (corrupted) DAoT tech, so I want to focus more on the "vehicle" end of the "living vehicle" concept. More "Daemon in the machine" rather than "the Daemon IS the machine". Might strap a Wardog head or something to it, but I'm trying to avoid organic components if possible.
(As an example: my Obliterators are going to be Necromunda Slave Ogryns with their heads replaced by Leman Russ Spotlights and having a pile of weapons strapped to them. Will be giving them a metallic skin tone as well, and will be doing something similar if I need any actual Chaos Space Marine units).

What about starting from a Defiler? the legs and chassis should give you a good starting point for something that looks like it comes form a more vehicle source, rather than an obviously daemonic source. The boxy torso looks a bit derpy, but is a good starting point for the weapon mounts. Maybe replace it with a big turret off something else?
If you are using a Onager as the basis for somethig else, will you a have a spare body for that, as it scales quite well with the Defiler leg units.
