Hi all,

Has anyone tried putting contrast paints over a gloss layer, probably varnish. Does the gloss shine through? I know what you are thinking just put the gloss on top of the contrast paint? But I’m thinking it would be nice for the gloss to come through the transparent parts of the contrast and not the dark patches , as opposed to being glossy all over

You can do that but then you cant seal your miniture because then the effect would be gone.
