I already have a dwarf army project for the old world in a red/white and silver scheme.

But I got the urge to paint some dwarves differently the other night, ran with it, and now I have the following:

These are EM4 plastic dwarves with extra shields from the Wargames Atlantic Irish set.

My intention here is to paint a small army in this green color scheme, so I have an opposing force to demo kings of war with.

The name comes from the basic free-hand of a mountain range I did on the shields. I intend to use up extra shields on this project, and other bits like axe and hammer heads, and stuff like that.

Nice job on these guys, the EM4 minis are great value. How’d you find the clean up? The ones I have are really tough to clean on the seams

Not too bad. A good hobby knife if your friend.

I cleaned the axe head, then the helmet. I worked down from the helmet on each side.

Less than a minute of clean up per model. Then, when painted, I cut the base down to size and glued it it on to the multi base.

Nice work on these guys and a good solid color scheme. I like the freehand sigil on their shields- well done! A bit of backstory without having to say a word.

Really simple too. I am surprised, as usually freehand is not my strong suit but those basic lines really do a good job.
