How do y'all organize your bits box(es)? My 'organizarion' has historically been pretty random, but this kommando box has some lovely bits left on sprue and I'd like to be able to be able to find them when I want them. Thinking of Plano tackle boxes but I'd be interested in what you guys use.
Mostly not.
The ones that are sorted are either into parts for a given project I.E. HH Iron Hands parts, Deathwatch parts, Traitor Guard parts, or into generic classifications I.E. heads, guns, CCW.
What I do now is I keep parts in those resealable plastic wallets. They vary from being sorted by all the same part/type of part in a wallet; or all the parts from one kit.
This varies a bit as sometimes there are delicate parts worth storing on their own; or parts that just work together better etc...
This way I can much more easily know where a certain part will be.
I then keep those wallets in a storage container. Right now they are mostly in two shelves of a metal filing cabinet, but a box would also work.
The more you have the more you might put the wallets into individual boxes (eg by army or game type or such) or other storage to help break them up.
