I'm curious to know how well Skinks would be in a fight vs other warhammer goblin like beings like the Gloomspite Gitz or the Gretchin from 40k? If it were an even fight with even numbers. Would Skinks be able to deal with technology that 40k Gretchin could bring to bare or would they be best suited against your regular goblin with magic?


(By 'Gretchin' tech, I mean Grot Blastas, Kannonz, or maybe even Grot Tanks), but I am also asking for their AOS brethren the Gloomspite vs the average Skinks (but with Skins able to field anything else that they could normally like ripperdactyls and wizards.)

In lore, how strong are Skinks compared to goblins?


I'm also asking if it were just Skinks vs Goblins, no saurs, Orks, Orruks, or Trogoths. Just these two species going at it!

Skinks are physically quite weak, historically having a strong stat lower than a human or goblins, but they are bloody fast (often twice as much movespeed or nearly so) and they are always portreyed as quite intelligent. Compared to goblins or goblin equivalents skinks will come in with a strategy and a long list of tactical applications. Against goblins it is quite likely they would seed infighting and pick off outliers with hit-and-runs for weeks to months before actually going for the killing blow.
