I appreciate the links and info. If they thought pvp was a "secret" and not an outright necessity, they're being silly. Also, chaos was the surprise enemy last time (at least until a leak let it out as well). Regardless I'm glad to see them in there.
I legitimately didn't want to know anything about the campaign and then GW has a big picture of a 1k son sorcerer up on Wacom today. But given I occasionally watch 40k hobby stuff on YouTube I also saw a thumbnail from Valrak with "Chaos confirmed in Space Marine 2!" or something like that despite never watching his tedious commentary. Would have been an interesting surprise. Still, who knows how you get from Tyranids to Thousand Sons so I still have that. I suppose they put it in there so Titus can have some kind of resolution to his warp contamination and prove his righteousness to the other Ultramarines who don't trust him despite him being given the okay from the inquisition. Maybe they'll be brave and have Titus actually not be alright after the warp exposure and have an interesting interaction with the Thousand Sons. Better yet, have him die saving the day but the others assume he was a traitor due to their prejudice against him due to his time with the inquisition and sully his name forever, that's the kind of downer ending that seems more fitting.
All I can hear in my head is Moe from the Simpsons:
Chaos Space Marine sorcerers! Even when it was the Tyranids, I knew it was Chaos Space Marine sorcerers!
