Hi
So pro acryl is amazing paint. But let’s say you can’t afford the 80 pounds for the full set, which are your favourite colours that she be picked up before others?

Honestly I'd start with the primaries, a good brown, black, white, and ivory. Oh, and a metallic. I ended up just dropping the 80 pounds ($100 in my case), but I did it when their "build your own bundle" sale was going on which meant I got to pick my 24 paints (which included some metallics, washes as well as one of the 'custom' youtube creater paints). A discount code covered my shipping, and I was a happy camper.

I would argue that picking random "favorite colors" is not the best way to experience it. You will be better served by picking out a few "color families" (e.g. reds and blues) and getting all the paints in the range that fit within that definition. That way you can experience the paints capabilities to its fullest by layering and blending, etc. Otherwise you will need to go outside of the pro-acryl range to fill in the blanks when you're trying to shade, highlight, layer up, etc.

Curious, what benefits do the Pro Acryl paints give over something like AK Interactive, Vallejo, MrColor, Tamiya paints? Are they for brush painting or for airbrushing? Are they completely water based or partly solvent paint based like Mr Color Aqueous and Tamiya?

Brush painting (can be airbrushed too), and I believe completely water based (not 100% on that).
In general pro acryl is noted for being very smooth and creamy with very high coverage and very good flow, with a high matte finish. Many colors in the range can get solid coverage over a black undercoat in a single thin coat - their yellows and reds are noted for getting bright vibrant popping colors over black in as little as 2 coats. IIRC its a gel-based medium so it behaves a bit differently than most other paints (might be confusing it with Scale75/Scalecolor on that point though, regardless the "texture" of the pro acryl paints is a bit different from many of the other paints I've worked with). The paints are very densely pigmented though - I've seen people recommended thinning 10-20 parts thinner to 1 part paint in order to get the level of translucency/transparency needed for glazing techniques, for example, otherwise you basically get full coverage over whatever is underneath it.

Interesting
I might give their whites and yellows a try
EDIT: Took a peep at the Pro Acryl range, and I am positively surprised! Black brown big bottle of primer and everything
Alas, their cheapest shipping to Finland is 32$, add in taxes and I'm paying more for shipping and VAT than on the actual paints! Do they have a retailer in the EU somewhere? I'd be down for 7 of their tones + one big bottle of their black brown primer..

I don't know about an EU retailer, but if you find one, keep in mind that their primers are color matched to the same named paint, which is a nice bonus

I’d summarise by saying they are easy to use and get excellent results. I don’t understand how they do it. Their white is easily the best but I’m still not sure if I like it more than using white ink. Id also highlight that I’ve been trying out some of the green stuff world new Maxx Formula range and they embody the same qualities as pro acryl. I don’t know that they are as good, I haven’t tried enough of them over long enough, but they might be. If I have time I might do a video comparison on the whites

Good advice, I’ve bought an extended family of red/browns
