So a few days ago I saw a preview from that Nova thing that showed this model for the Old World for the Bretonnian faction:

It got me wondering. Would there be a way I could proxy it to be a City of Sigmar mage on a mount I could use? I wanted to get this model and paint them different for a character of mind named Aurelia with a dark crimson red dress and coal black hair. The reason I'd do this is because if I ever got into Cities of Sigmar I want to make her in a mercenary like force inspired by Dogs of War from the Old World.

Is there any city or sub faction in AOS that has the gimmick of being Dogs of War like mercenaries? Or is that just the Fyreslayers only? If not I may just wait for the Old World to play Tilea as the Dogs of War.

We know very little about new CoS lore. That said, there are 3 generic cities on transfer sheet, nothing stops you from making up your own mercenary city and using one set of fluff-less heraldry for it.

As for proxy, you'd need to find a model to proxy it as (maybe new Pontifex leader?) and then use same base size as said model as AoS is a lot stricter about it, should be doable with little effort though.

I don't see any problems. CoS has endless possibilities.

The new Brets would make amazing CoS forces. Though they would primarily be spears and shields or archers. The Knights would be great subs for the standard heavy cavalry. The mounted marshall could be subbed for the duke on Pegasus. Then just pepper in some other support pieces. The old world boxes won't be as flashy as the new CoS models but they should work. Same scale, similar time period, etc.

Only issue I see here is that CoS mounted mages come on fancy chariots or a full sized monster; there's no basic 'mage on steed' choice (don't get me started on that topic...).

A mounted mage could be worked in by giving a Cavalier-Marshal the arcane tome but that would still be a heavy-armour combat focused character with a little casting on the side. Another option would be to look at SCE mounted mage, but again same issue.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
