It is almost that time of year again. Spiel in Essen, Germany is “the world‘s largest boardgame convention” and traditionally has a big turnout for tabletop wargaming and role playing games.

Mrs. GG and I plan on attending the Friday of the convention.
Anyone else here going? If so, who do you hope to see there?
I am keen to see the folks from Battle Systems for example, but sadly I notice that a lot of international tabletop wargaming companies that used to attend no longer do.

Warlord Games seems to have something mysterious planned for the event…
Essen Spiel '23 – 5-8 October 2023
This year, Warlord Games will once again be partnering with our friends at War Factory for Essen Spiel. Our sales and demo teams will be in Hall One on Stand 1B100. You might also consider wandering over to Hall Four, Stand 4G100, where we'll be showcasing something a little bit different... See you there!
Looking at the event map, seems that is the event's “prototype gallery.”
Battle Systems has said in their advertising that they will have products at the event on sale.
Dwarven Forge, Micro Arts Studio, Titan Forge, Mantic, Archon Studio and My Mini Factory are other stalls I also plan to stop at. Hopefully this year I will not get so carried away talking to folks that I forget to take photos.

Thanks KidCthulu, I am glad to hear you liked the post. I was blown away by so many of the painted pieces on display at the Archon stand. The different colors on those market stalls really helps them look diverse.

Yeah, painted pieces from Archon are the best part of the pics from you report. They really did a great job there.
