Hi.

I don't normally post about unit balance in a complaining way, because I always feel its a waste of time.

However, I think 10th edition Wraithguard are a terrible unit. They are one of the toughest units in the game and are far too cheap for what they can do. They are T7 Terminators with access to -1 to wound. They are actually cheaper than Terminators. Before the nerf to dev wounds, they were, in my opinion, worse than the Wraithknight.

As it stood they could either afford to have been twice the cost, or go to a T5 and 3+ save. The nerf to dev wounds has curtailed the damage potential, but the resilience is just too good for the cost.

Am I missing something here?

Best,
Samii.

How do they get -1 to wound? Maybe I'm just not seeing it.

Edit: Nevermind, forgot about Fortune.

It gets even worse since Eldar have access to phantasm. So they are almost immune to counterplay. Keep in mind all terminators have good melee, these do not have melee. But with phatasam jadda jadda jadda.

After the Eldar nerfs people kept talking that Eldar could stil play wraightguard. Without going into detail to much: Your awnser is yes. They are very good to broken.

Just wait another 3 months and their cost will be addressed.

Things can be good...and in fact better than some other things. They have neither the spot delivery nor the melee punch of Terminators.
