Wrecking Ball -- Sometimes what you need is not subtle. Your entry should be an unstoppable instrument of blunt trauma. Or at least most of those things. A barbarian with a great axe is not blunt, but still a force unstoppable destruction. It doesn’t need to be a melee force of destruction. Demolisher cannons, siege engines, anything that reduces a person/place/thing to its component parts in a very unsubtle way is good to go.

From the Shadows -- Pretty much the opposite of the above. A knife in the dark, camouflaged sniper, or any blow that your opponent will never see coming. Or go metaphysical and don’t give up on Halloween; things live in the shadows... Frightening things. In the places between the lights is another world full of horrors and danger. Sometimes all of the above, as the warped cultist slinks out of the shadows to slip a knife in with the 3rd hand he shouldn’t naturally have.

Small but Deadly -- Some people punch well above their weight. Tiny terrors who fell giants, or doughty warriors who will use an axe (or lascutter) to cut you off at the knees to look you in the eye. Or normal sized people packing swords or guns normally found on giants or tanks. Or a tiny gun that shoots through buildings. Your entry should be proportionally deadly. Also a good place to work with some smaller model ranges. Try your hand at some 6-8mm units.

"If it bleeds, we can kill it” -- A band of soldiers going up against something out of their league. A chink in the armor showing a weak point. A sign of mortality in an otherwise indomitable foe. Or just enough blood and/or ichor to make a slasher film look tidy. Take your inspiration from the quote and show us what it means to do in miniature form.

Poll will run for 2 days

'If it Bleeds, We Can Kill it' sounds like fun.

I need to decorate some vehicles and bases with dead space marines. A humbling sight for the Adeptus Astartes.

I tossed my vote on “Wrecking Ball” as I’ve got a lot of stuff that needs to be done that falls under that role. I’m way behind on my Ultras for the year, and that would get me an excuse to paint the aggressors that have been sitting around. Or the new SK from the leviathan box. Or both. Two wrecking balls, no waiting!

Shadows would probably be the VR leapers, but maybe the shroudrunners.

Small but Deadly I actually have to think about. Probably some ripper swarms.

If it bleeds would need me to get primer on the combi-weapon Lt. He’d be a fun match for the topic. Maybe focus up some opponents for him in a little duel diorama.

Went for Wrecking Ball. Good for the new MCP core set I reckon.

I've got a couple of contenders for Wrecking Ball, so that'd be convenient. In case anyone's apprehensive, neither of them involve actual balls.

Not an unreasonable assumption, coming from you, to be fair

Considering I still have a harlequin solitaire to do something with.. I voted "from the shadows"
But if the outcome (as it looks like it will be) is a wreckingball.. perhaps I'll instead finally make my harlequin starweaver instead? Maybe that's not blunt enough :/

I could always go and make something Orky again, if people care to notice.

First thought here is wrecking ball. I haven't painted any Crisis Protocol models in a while and, well, you know how superheroes are...

Nehekhara lives! Sort of!

I voted for "If it bleeds..." but I can find something for any of these.

Time to contemplate something wrecky and bally I guess.
I think the vote is pretty much set.

Hmmm, I guess something Orky it is. Still got the new Ork box full of big weapon wielding melee nobs laying around so probably an Ork boss for me.

Wrecking Ball vote from me!

Got just the right thing that fits the description built a week ago. It's been sitting on the desk waiting its' turn while I work on the Halloween Challenge.

Hmmm. Have plenty of small death about. But I supposed it can’t be that hard to find a blunt implement of unsubtle destruction to paint.

OK, if my math is right that’s the 2 days for the poll. Break out the wrecking balls! From the Shadows is the second pick (barely) so will get another chance in the polls in January. December is the open round, so no poll for it.
