Infected & Looking For a Mate

I'm thinking about getting my Eldar & Sisters up and running again for 10th, or at least Kill Team, but after a really bad experience with some Warp Spiders back in 7th I will not deal with Finecast Resin models ever again.

Are they still using it in models? It's not clear from the new packaging & a lot of the kits I've seen on tutorials etc. appear to be plastic, but I can't put it past GW to use this gakky resin & not advertise it on the box. I'm most interested in model lines related to Aeldari & Sisters (from what I recall all Aspect Warriors were Finecast at one stage) but if they're slipping it in anywhere else I'd like to know too, so I can never buy them.

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies! Happy to hear Finecast is on the way out, it was just awful to work with & just a really bad idea, I had to return & replace my Warp Spiders 4 times. The ones I stuck with (because I didn't want to go back again to GW lol) had bubbles on so many details, so much needed to be filled or polished down & the details that survive are not very crisp, I had to freehand my Exarch's eyes because the cast ones were too sunken to show through a thin base coat. Just a horrible material & metal was so much better.

Sad to hear that some Aspect Warriors are still using it, hopefully that goes away soon.

I think I will go Kill Team until all the Aspects are plastic, just in case I accidentally buy this gak resin again lol. It also means I can build up my small collections of other minis & bring back my metal Sisters & Kasrkins so hopefully there are no Guard models in this Finecast crap.

Thanks again!
