So apparently Sony and Nintendo are working on a live action Zelda adaptation:

I’m not convinced it’s going to actually happen, and I’m skeptical it’ll be any good if it does happen. Still, im curious what direction they’ll take it.

Sony is such a mixed bag; sometimes they can do well so long as they get a slap and pay attention to feedback (eg Sonic films); sometimes they do a disaster (Peter Rabbit films*).

But they are generally decently produced and Nintendo is on a bit of a roll with films so I can see it happening. Heck Zelda is one of their big franchises so makes a lot of sense.



* I have no clue if these were actually popular or not; but I know hands down they are NOT Peter Rabbit films. They are the height of "we took the title and the names and that's about it" from the source material.

Super weird. Sony has been after some portion of the character rights for Nintendo stuff since the SNES CD. Curious if this cooperation is a response to Microsoft buying out so much of the western market.
