There are two army books.

Forces of Fantasy containing Dwarfen Mountain Holds, Empire of Man, Kingdom of Bretonnia, Wood Elf Realms and High Elf Realms.

Ravening Hordes containing Orc and Goblin Tribes, Warriors of Chaos, Beastmen Brayherds and Tomb Kings of Khemri.

All other WHFB armies like Skaven, Lizardmen, etc will get PDF rules at some point.

ToW Facebook groups are having a complete mental breakdown because their army isn't in the two army books. I get it and understand, but you don't have to worry about point increase/decreases or any changes to their army. You'll be able to play your army as is.

But will it be fun as in 'you've got the same chance to win as anyone else' fun, or fun as in 'Remember 6E Dark Elves? Yeah, like that" levels of 'fun'.

I never think about winning or loosing. Just to play the game and have a good time. But, I do see why you said that. There are people that are competitive and want to have all of that for their army of choice.

There's a difference between "I'm going to lose, but it was a fun game," on turn three, and turn zero looking at the opposing force and going "I cannot win this game barring the luck of Ecaflip himself gracing my dice."

I'm hardly a WAAC gamer, but if I'm going to lose every time regardless of how well I play, why am I even bothering? It's not even about having fun with my friends at that point, as we can play other games where I DO have a chance of winning once in a while; anything from Munchkin to Star Fleet Battles, depending on how much time we have and how much crunch we want.

Struggling about in Asmos territory.

Tbh i would be happy to win or lose regardless because atleast it meant I would've gotten to play a game of warhammer in the first place which I in like 10 years haven't. (or ever for that matter)

Anyway, I would try to look at every game as a sort of roleplaying exercise but would also prefer to plan it out to make it fair' creating atleast a scenario that is balanced to it. I would never play a game against someone who's competitive.

"Why would i be lying for Wechhudrs sake man.., i do not write fiction!"
