Well my store sadly didn't have the Changling when I played yesterday. However, I was able to snag some Adeptus Custodes Wardens with the Captain.

My idea is for now to start a Kill Team with them, but keep all spears as I keep the axes for other boxes for kitbashing. I plan on making a 'small' Custodes army, but I want to stay away from FW and try to go all infantry to get the most bodies on the field, suggestions? This army is completely new to me and is the opposite of my horde playstyle with Orks and lesser Chaos daemons.

with a range as small as custodes, it's not hard to get a sampler of everything the army has to offer. the combat patrol gives you pretty much everything you need to start, since that's a box of guard, a box of bikes, and two boxes of sisters. from there, more guard, some terminators, and a blade champion, and now you have the entire range at once

you can take it slow and pick stuff up one at a time, because each box is a lot of points to be adding to your army. for example, the combat patrol is over 600 points (and there you also have to keep in mind how cheap sisters are, points-wise. 10 of them is 100 points, so the other two units can supply over 500 points on their own; if you're looking to put more models on the table, sisters would be the way to go, although it's the least cost-effective way to build the army)
