Hello,
I'm an old skool warhammer player. I wouldn't say a veteran since I only played a handful of games in my teens (WHFB 4th edition) but I have kept all the miniatures and added a lot more since then across a lot more armies. Including many of those incredible units that I could only dream about owning as a teenager but through the magic of ebay and now earning more than just pocket money each week, I have been able to afford.

I was one of those people who was disheartened by the end of WHFB and the advent of AOS, and I was over the moon to learn WHFB was relaunching as TOW.

I haven't bought the army books yet (I'm hoping an app will some out like it did for AOS) but I have checked the base size changes on here:

I was a bit concerned to see none of the following units listed in the Orc & Goblin section:

- Snotling Pump Wagon
- Orc Rock Lobber
- Orc Bolt Thrower
- Netters and clubbers
- Squigs and prodder teams (not hoppers)

Can anyone confirm if these have disappeared?

Any also, can anyone confirm if they know any info re whether an app will be forthcoming?

Many thanks.

All of those are in the book.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

You can use all of those models in the orc and goblin army, but there are some small changes - the only war machines are goblin crewed so you'll need a few spare goblins for the rock lobbers and bolt throwers, some of the orc crew can be added to a machine as a bully to add a bit of leadership to the machines or just go in a mob of orcs. The netters and clubbers are no longer a separate unit - night goblin mobs can include netters for a combat effect, the clubbers have no rules and will just have to be normal night goblins.

pump wagons (now in units of up to 6) and squig herder teams (one herder minimum per 5 squigs) are still their own units

Ah. Not quite as good as I thought. Spent ages reassembling the oldhammer rock lobber and bolt thrower orc crews!
Ah well.

They lasted until the start of 6th Ed - they were a separate unit in Ravening Hordes, but got merged into the main Night Goblin unit in the Army Book (which was the 2nd out IIRC).
