So, I'm getting on working with my new pack of Adeptus Custodes Warden and I've thought of a few thoughts about them.

A) My Custodes Shield Captain is named Amandus and I plan on giving him black hair.

B) I was thinking of not using gold, (heresy I know), but instead trying to find an alternative color scheme such as platinum or another metal color that's shiny but not gold.

I don't know what primer to use to prime the models first, should I use black or white primer? What brand of primer (fount in the United States) are good for them?

What specific colors of Citadel paints are good as platinum colors? If I go full platinum instead of gold, would you know any specific color schemes or paints from Citadel I could use? (Citadel is easier to acquire at my gaming store).

Any idea for colors for their Guardian spears? How do I make that cool electro effect?

If you have an airbrush I would absolutely recommend Vallejo Metal Color. Their chrome is a lovely bright metal. Gives an awesome finish if you spray it over their gloss black primer. You *can* brush it on but I don't think it looks as good.

For metal i would use black primer, There are a lot of other collored custodes subgroups, black for the wardens from the dungeons, white i believe so doest hve to be gold.
