Precision attacks can pick high-value targets out in a crowd, whether through the unerring aim of a sniper or the pinpoint accuracy of a blade-master’s strike. Weapons with [PRECISION] in their profile are known as Precision weapons. Each time an attack made with such a weapon successfully wounds an Attached unit (pg 39), if a Character model in that unit is visible to the attacking model, the attacking model’s player can choose to have that attack allocated to that Character model instead of following the normal attack sequence.
Grand Master of the Deathwing: While this model is leading a unit, each time a model in that unit makes an attack, if a Critical Hit is scored, that attack has the [PRECISION] ability.
If Belial is leading a unit of ten Terminators, two of whom have Cyclones. The entire unit can see a bodyguard unit, only one Cyclone and the sergeant can see the attached character. Of all the shots, one storm bolter shot and one cyclone missile rolls a 6 to hit. How do we determine which model made the critical hits so that we can determine whether or not these hits’ Precision bonus enables them to be allocated to the character? Should we have rolled the attacks of the models that can see a character separately to avoid this impasse? If we forgot to take that precaution, how should we resolve the situation?
