Subject: [TOW] Orc Boyz - Box of the new(old) models

I bought myself a box of the (31) Orc Boyz recently. This was to add to my aging year 2000ish Orc and Goblin army, where my only actual Orc Troops are all the single piece (I think) 2 weapon models. I think I'd bought a load of those as sprues off eBay from a starter box set.
Anyway, I planned on building these new ones with hand weapons and shields. However, despite the box saying this is an option, there are only 2 shield arms per 4 models. Is this correct? Am I supposed to do some awful hack job on the left hand weapon arms and trim hilts/weapons off them?

Currently most played: Silent Death, Mars Code Aurora, Battletech, Warcrow and Infinity. |

Yep. That's exactly right. You're supposed to clip the daggers off of the two arms that have them. Luckily they come off pretty cleanly with good, sharp snips, and even if you mess up the hands will be hidden behind shields.

"I have concluded through careful empirical analysis and much thought that somebody is looking out for me, keeping track of what I think about things, forgiving me when I do less than I ought, giving me strength to shoot for more than I think I am capable of. I believe they know everything that I do and think, and they still love me. And I’ve concluded, after careful consideration, that this person keeping score is me." -Adam Savage |

Thanks. I thought that would be the case, but there was nothing in the instructions about it.
Except for the moldline scraping, I'm going to enjoy building these. 5 pieces per model + a shield, all clearly visible on the sprue!
Makes me realise how I hate all these new 15 tiny piece models that make a single 28mm man sized model.

Newer models of all games systems by GW are way too complex. I too have returned to my old O&G army and it is a joy to assemble the older, simpler models.
