So, I thought I would give a Dakka blog another try. I don't ever seem to get much engagement anywhere, but I am working on some stuff some of you folks might like.

We'll start with Fantasy stuff:
Romans for Cohors Cthulhu. I have some of the RPG books, and I really like the setting. I have some of the stl files from the RPG Kickstarter too. While they are really well sculpted figures, they are in a cartoony style that I am not an huge fan of. So, I am using Victrix figures for the human forces, plus some of my own sculpts. I will be using figures from the Cthulhu: Death May Die boardgame for the monsters.

Legionaries

Still quite a ways to go. I am waiting on some basing material and need to get some decals made for their shields.

Auxiliary Archer

Very early WIP.

Cohors Cthulhu is going to allow you to create custom characters for use in your campaign games. Here is the figure that I sculpted to be one of mine:

His design is meant to be that of a fantasy, but plausible, Roman Centurion.

Here is a shot of a print of him with the Legionaries.

I broke that figure (and another copy) and have started painting the third (final?) copy. Pics for that later.

Chosen of Mormo

Dimensional Shambler from DMD. I have since stripped and restarted this one. Didin't like where it was heading.

Superheroes. These are all figures that I sculpted for use in Supersystem or one of its sister rules.

Group Shot

Some individuals:

John Henry

The Ox

Big Pharaoh 6

Squat

Cobalt

And last for now, some 40K stuff. Grey knights and Inquisitor Coteaz.

Grey Knight:

This is a design that I have been working on for quite a while. Finally settled on one I like. The Shoulder Pads, Backpack and its decoration, Book, Knife, Keys, and Grenades are all GW bits. I need to adjust all the accessories that I sculpted to fit the new size, but I wanted to see a finished (sort of) product. I say sort of because I want to do another highlight pass and add some tufts to the base.

Here is the sculpt that I made of Inquisitor Coteaz:

I have a test print running now. I will work on the cyber eagle and some Acolytes at some point.

My paint work is not likely to be any better than tabletop quality, but I will hopefully get better.

That's it for now. Thanks all for stopping by.

The legionaires are looking nice. I've seen that Cohors Cthulu pass by as an artwork. Cool to see it realised and curious how your project on it continues.

Thank you. Progress is slow, but ongoing. I tend to work on several things at once to help prevent burn out.

I got a decent print of Inquisitor Coteaz and here are a few pictures of it:

With a Cadian and a Necrounda Enforcer.

With the Enforcer and my Grey Knight.

I also started working on my own version of Inquisitor Jaq Draco and some of his warband. I really enjoyed Ian Watson's novel. I read it not terribly long after it was released initially and then the updated Inquisition War series. One of the ideas that I had was for a What If? scenario where Draco used the Webway and general warp shenanigans to effect time travel to recollect his companions and re-enter the Imperium at the most updated time.

I also thought it would be neat if Lexandro crossed the Rubicon Primaris. Mostly I wanted an excuse to design a Space Marine. lol Since Space Marine Captains have access to Artificier Armor, I decided his should be made to resemble Mk 3 armor. Perhaps it was a favorite of his or something. Anyway, here is what I came up with:

I'm hoping to get a print of him tonight.

I'd love to hear thoughts about the designs. Thanks all for stopping by.
