Hi all,

I've decided I'd like to hang some chains from the vortexbeast I'm working on, and I've got the weird problem that despite being real, it doesn't look real!

I'm torn between either keeping it a steel colour, or painting it gold to match the other daemonettes in the army. If I was to go for either option, what would I need to do to make it look like part of the model, and how would you recommend keeping the chains in place?

You can keep the chains from moving with a very light application of CA super glue. I'd recommend the very thin stuff, with the very find nib applicator.

This should mean you don't apply too much, and you can have greater control over blobbing. If you act quick, you can always wick away excess super glue.

I usually paint chains so that the metallics match. That might be part of why it doesn't look "right". Some glue to lock the chain into the "pose" you want and some paint should fix things.
