So Grey Knights have been my go to army for our local combat patrol games for sometime now, but I’ve recently found out that we can no longer take both terminators and dreadknight. It has to be one or the other.

Now I’m not sure if I’m missing anything, but I just can’t see how a librarian dread knight and five strike troops can hold their own against most of the other boxes?

Maybe I’m just an abysmal player but the other lad at the tournament who was also Grey nights is similarly being beaten to a pulp as previously we were quite happily holding our own.

Am I missing some key tactics here?

Not so sure there are tactical issues here so much that your Combat Patrol when from over 660 point of models including two hard targets to under 450 points.

Add that you effectively have two units* and your are now playing in hard mode.

* You have three if you run the Librarian alone, but that’s not a great option.
